Chess lessons live...
Grandmaster Palatnik currently resides in Washington, DC area and is available for private and group lessons. The rate starts at $80 per hour. If you do not live in DC area, there are several other options to take lessons. GM Palatnik gives lessons by Skype or over the telephone to students all over continental United States and Europe. He is also available to come to your area with a series of lectures. The rate would depend on the amount of travel involved. Finally, you are invited to come visit Bethesda for a 6-hour marathon of instructions, if you only have one day to spare in the area. A special discount will be applied to anyone requesting more then 4 hours of instruction at a time.
Chess lessons over the phone...
Lessons by Skype or over the phone are not more expensive for you, because GM Palatnik can call your number anywhere in the United States. It allows players, who otherwise never would have a chess lesson with a grandmaster to experience it. GM Palatnik has students from Tennessee, California, Mississippi, N.Y., N.J., Texas and Florida. It also popular for busy people, since it saves time on traveling. The only requirement is a good knowledge of chess notation. I would recommend it to players over 1200 USCF.
